For lack of a better containment strategy.
Awoo.ltd is my scrapbook of projects, releases, photographs, experiments, cool things, questionable ideas, and whatever else I decide belongs here in the future. Some of it fits neatly together. Some of it doesn’t. I made it anyway. That is justification enough.
I publish here as CallyyllaC. Awoo isn’t a company, a product catalogue, or a particularly disciplined portfolio. It’s just somewhere I can put things without first having to justify what category they belong in.
Despite the name, Awoo.ltd is not a limited company. The limitation mostly applies to staffing (solo), budget, and attention span.
Why leave it here?
Because useful things should travel.
I build things because I need them, because I’m curious, or because the off-the-shelf solution got almost all the way there before falling apart on the one oddly specific thing I actually needed it to do.
We’ve all been there.
And once something exists, what’s the point in keeping it hidden away just because the original use case was narrow or obscure?
A tool built for one very particular problem might solve somebody else’s problem outright. More often, it’ll be close enough that they can take it apart, change the assumptions, replace the weird bit, and make it fit their own situation.
That’s one of the reasons I like releasing things open source. The project doesn’t have to remain exactly what I built it to be.
Use it. Fork it. Steal the useful part. Ignore the rest.
If something here saves somebody from starting at zero, or sends them away to build something better suited to their own problem, then publishing it was worthwhile.
And if it turns into something of your own, I’d like there to eventually be somewhere here to leave a trace of where the idea wandered next.
The plan
There isn’t much of one.
There’s no publishing schedule, content strategy, or carefully maintained personal brand hiding behind Awoo.ltd.
Projects appear when they’re worth showing, or when an idea has got considerably further out of hand than originally advertised. Photos turn up when I take something I actually like. Experiments may arrive fully documented, half documented, or accompanied by evidence that I learned an important lesson about electricity.
Some things will be polished. Some will be rough around the edges. Some may exist here mostly because I wanted somewhere to leave them once they were done.
Not everything interesting needs to become a product, a business, or a line on a CV.
Sometimes making the thing was the point.

Most of the code eventually finds its way onto GitHub. The rest tends to end up here.
It’s a workshop with the doors left open.
